A beautiful new film, from SCOTLAND: The Big Picture brings the world of deer populations, recovering habitats and rural livelihoods to life.
The film, part of The Fiadh Project, introduces some of the remarkable people who make Scotland’s venison what it is: deer managers working the open hill, producers who take real pride in what they do, and those passing on that knowledge to the next generation — helping young people trace the journey from wild landscape to dinner table.
What unites them all is a genuine hunger for change. A belief that wild Scottish venison — healthy, sustainable and in abundant supply right here at home — deserves a far bigger place in our kitchens and on our menus.
Thank you to SCOTLAND: The Big Picture for capturing this, part of The Fiadh Project. To find out more about the challenges, the common ground and the 5 changes / recommendations from the Fiadh project, visit their website here.
